Gender and Development Research Institute

Established in 1990, with the initial support of UNIFEM, GDRI is the research arm of APSW

Carries out action research on policy issues related to gender equality as well as conducts policy advocacy to facilitate gender equality within Thai society

Major activities include :
changing societal attitudes and perceptions regarding the roles of women
guaranteeing women’s constitutional rights
mainstreaming women’s concerns in the policy agenda
promoting women on decision making levels in politics and administration
providing gender training in policy process
